Massage is the manipulation of soft tissues in the body. Massage techniques are commonly applied with hands, fingers, elbows, knees, forearms. The purpose of massage is generally for the treatment of body stress or pain.

Benefits of massage range from aiding in reducing stress, anxiety, headaches, muscle tension by loosening muscles and tendons while improving flexibility as well as helping to increased blood flow throughout the body. Massage has also been shown that it may improve sleep.

Swedish massage. This is a gentle form of massage that uses long strokes, kneading, deep circular movements, vibration and tapping to help relax and energize you.

Deep Tissue. This massage technique uses slower, more-forceful strokes to target the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, commonly to help with muscle damage from injuries.

Sports massage. This is similar to Swedish massage, but it’s geared toward people involved in sport activities to help prevent or treat injuries.

Trigger point massage. This massage focuses on areas of tight muscle fibres (knots) that can form in your muscles.


Reiki can aid in relaxation, assist in the body’s natural healing processes, and develop emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being, assist with emotional stress, and improve overall wellbeing.

Origin of Reiki

Mikao Usui was the founder of a form of spiritual practice known as Reiki in the 1920’s. Reiki is a Complementary therapy in that it works alongside all other modalities and medicines.

According to the inscription on his memorial stone, Usui taught Reiki to over 2000 people during his lifetime. Sixteen of these students continued their training to reach Master level.
